I really enjoyed my visits here as I could always have a conversation with the the lady I was with, but I must admit to cringing a few times when the resident Thai band attempted a cover version of a well known western song - Their rendition of the Beatles "Hey Jude" is just one memory that comes to mind December 2005: For the older members or for those who like older mature ladies. The music not bad but not load like it should be for a disco. The ladies are performers in the bedroom!!!! Summer 2005: Band starts at 21:00. Rock music with all the Pattaya standards. Hostesses are on hand but most customers are there for the music. A useful meeting point as it is near the Walking Street arch The beer is a little on the expensive side presumably to help pay for the band."

Did have great fun in there, and some sexy girls. Bloody expensive though as I discovered when I paid my 1000bht Barfine... Great night, really enjoyed the atmosphere in Casino. Review from Kevin, February 2006: Cool! The Club has been done out very well indeed!, the decor is very, very tidy!, there is a square raised podium in the middle of the floor where the dancers perform, normally 4 of them, one facing each corner of the club!, one I recognized from Superbaby, another from Paris A-gogo . Sometimes one of the guys gets up and plays a small set of drums to the music , the girls love it!, and it gets the crowd going . It is not the biggest place , but god I was surprised how nice it was!, the main hostess is a darling, always comes and says hello!, will always buy a round for those that stay and drink a bit! and really makes you feel welcome!. The girls cannot be barfined, but I was seeing one of them!, only problem I had to wait until 4am until she finished! All in all I found the place a breath of fresh air!, great look, great sound, and a really nice bunch! I normally live in Heaven above, Living Doll 1 & 2 , Happy or Peppermint, I am a A-gogo lover!, but this was cool! October 2005: The girls are "agency girls", professional dancers and models hired by the bar from talent agencies and they are claimed to be Thailand's prettiest. They are brought down to the bar from Bangkok on 1-month assignments. There are no barfines, and the girls are not allowed to leave the bar, with a customer that is. They only dance and socialise. They are allowed to get together with customers after they get off work, however. So if she's willing to go, and you're willing to wait until awfully late, then who knows, you might just get lucky... This would explain why the place doesn't get busy until after midnight. October 2005: The bar features house dancers on the small central stage and balcony. About 4 fashionable young things dance at a time. They wear typical disco clothes and are not showing anything as per GoGo bars. There is no dancing space for customers though. September 2005: It is a very nicely decorated place. It is a Disco style venue so no barfines. Beer prices will be along the lines of a gogo though no draft but it is a tiny place. Probably 10m by 10m with a small stage and a bar. Music, video screen and lighting, etc. were all good. Management took an early view they would not have any form of happy hour but would rely on offering a good time at reasonable prices. All bottled beer (there's no draught) and house spirits are 95 baht as are lady drinks."

I didn't like not being able to see the pedestrian traffic going by as before so it has now lost a little atmosphere.It still has live music and a very friendly staff however. There are freelancing girls to look after you but a barfine still need to be paid.The girls were a little rough but all good fun and loved to party The band just played falang rock and roll music. Previously noted as offkey but there is now a fairly new addition to the band staff of a little Thai female singer who is world class IMHO. Jo-well, formerly of FLB Bar, Bamboo Bar, BJ Bar... possibly the best female vocalist in Pattaya, Thai or otherwise. Drink prices were quite reasonable as I recall. Less than 100 baht for a Heinekin and my sangsam coke was maybe 50-60 baht The air conditioning works well and eliminates the smoky atmosphere you get in most music bars. Well worth a visit."

And since it was indoors, I like it more. But their beer was bit on the warm side. Girls are okay but they don't seem too friendly. But the service staff are very friendly. Especially Apple. Keith is a great manager and he greet you and spend some time with you. He would ask if anything he can do to make your stay much more enjoyable. Their new hostess drinks policy was in force when I visited and I found it genuinely enabled me to relax, have a quiet beer and check out the available talent without being hassled. So much so, that on one of my visits I meet the lovely New and subsequently bar fined her for the evening, simply due to the fact that she happily chatted to me without once asking for a lady drink and actually seemed interested in my opinions. To make things even better, she also turned out to be a great lady to spend time with FromPattaya Today: Night March column, January 2006: The ownership of FLB have instituted a 'don't ask for lady drinks' policy with their staff. Of course, the hope is that regular customers and new faces will purchase a drink for a lady if she has spent a little time chatting away and if they are pleased with her company. Since FLB tends to be an ex-pat boozer and most ex-pats are immune to the “buy me dlink” importuning, this is probably a sensible move. After all, most ex-pats will purchase a drink for a damsel if they fancy her or if she has been patient enough to wait and be asked. Let's hope the new approach works well for all concerned. December 2005: Very quiet with quite a few girls, but not many customers. A band is playing. I am shown to a seat, and before long I am joined by a hostess. Again, no looker (FLB girls are generally not the prettiest) but she speaks good English and is very affectionate. October 2005: The fans of the FLB bar have a very lively discussion forum at www.pattayatalk.com. Many of the girls feature in the discussions as do the regular FLB parties. There are plenty of photo reports showing that a good time is had by all."

It is now just completing conversion to a fully aircon bar. Previously the aircon was limited to a small TV room at the back of the bar but now the main bar has been enclosed by glass doors and aircon installed. The old TV room has been converted to a pool room. Also some major changes in the overall design as well as furniture and colors, to give it an overall "latin flava" From Pattaya Secrets, March 2006:Lucifer's Casino Watching A little gem tucked away in  Soi Diamond for more than a few reasons that struck me, a largish bar open to the street, a lot of work has gone into the lighting and seating (2 sizes in bar stools to accommodate all) an airconditioned room at the back with chrome poles that the ladies gravitate towards, a huge TV screen in there for the enjoyment of what ever your sporting lust may be, real toilets...which,as some may appreciate, is a huge plus. and the mega plus is you can park up in very nice surroundings and watch the procession of ladies who bounce between Lucifer and the same same set up directly across from Lennie's. All this and heaven too... Make sure you call into Lennie's, kick back, take it all in and enjoy. I did... March 2006: As with most beer bars, the quality of the girls is highly variable but the drink prices are very reasonable and I found the staff to be both attentive and friendly. After an entertaining first visit, I'll be back to check it out again soon. December 2005: Sunny Valentine was a gracious host. Met the Mammasan, she is a top notch gal and great fun to talk to. Sunny has a cool back room with a big screen TV for more private parties."

There are so many dangly things and cushions and tapestries and pictures that there seems little room for customers. Doesn't seem to matter much though as I have rarely seen many. It is a bar where I will surely pop in one day. But the nearby rather basic, loud, garish & tasteless bars have one slight advantage over Shangri La, they are stocked with attractive short time girlfriends."

They play blues, rock and pop standards from the last few decades. The second set is from Lam Morrison and the accent is then on rock. Again well worth the price of a beer. (The Blues Machine takes Wednesday off and Lam takes Monday off) There are hostesses on hand for those that prefer to enjoy their music in company. But there is no hassle if you are there purely for the music. However expect the toilet jockey to hassle you for a tip. Why on earth do bars employ those who do nothing but put people off the bar? Happy hour drinks until 10pm. Expensive thereafter, 130 Baht for bottled beer. Summer 2005: Open front bar popular with the Australians. Great hosts, nice girls, cold beer and lotsa, lotsa bullshit!! On the other hand: It is a depressingly grubby bar and always seems to be inhabited by Australians who come all the way to LOS to sit in a bar talking to other Australians about Australia! The only women I have seen in there were ones I had wished I hadn't"

It's a similar place to The Casino Club - disco place and good, sexy dancers. It's long and narrow and has two floors for boozing and letching with the toilets on the third floor. The ground floor is typical modern dance music, and apparently the second floor is RnB, although last night there was not a sole upstairs. The Roof is a good spot alright and the girls are all really good fun - much more friendly than the Casino girls if a little uglier. It appears to be the IN disco in town and I have to say it's an experience newbie's should try at least once, even if you are 53 years old. If your girl suggests the place, go with the flow and take her, it may not be you cup of tea but she will certainly appreciate your generosity of spirit in allowing her to enjoy the atmosphere. Each beverage comes accompanied by a smiling gorgeous hostess ready to fulfill any other thirst you might have acquired during the day. The enjoyment on offer varies tremendously from ogling go go dens to standard English pubs with an assortment of Karaoke bars, live music bars and lady boy shows.

Walking Street Pattaya

Should have been named "Walking, Shopping, Eating, Drinking, Dancing and Ogling Street" as there's plenty of almost everything here - including around 100 beer bars and at least 30 go-go bars, plus many more in the side-sois that lead east towards Pratamnak Road. Worth a look in the daytime, but best visited in the evening, and has loads of restaurants if you're bridging the gap between the two. Gets really packed in places when the discos empty, so watch your pockets. If you're going to visit just one go-go, you could try "Super Baby" in Soi Diamond, whose reputation for having the most attractive girls (not a stretch mark as far as the eye could see) in its heyday a year or two back made it a mandatory stop for countless busloads of Asian tourists. While that's no longer quite the case, it's still a good bet as a hassle-free "middle of the road" place to see.
